How To Increase Retention In Your MLM Downline

Anyone who has recruited more than a couple of people into their network marketing business has experienced a lack of retention. While you are recruiting a new partner for your mlm business 2 others are dropping out. Obviously, this is frustrating. It is even more frustrating to see people leaving faster than you can recruit them. What can you do to build a network marketing downline that becomes more stable?

Too often we are so caught up in recruiting a new mlm downline that we forget about the downline we already have. We focus all of our energies on the toughest part of building the business which is recruiting. Yet we forget to take action on the easiest part: Follow-up customer service.

While follow-up customer service may seem difficult to get to sometimes, it is extremely important for future growth and improving your retention rates. The number of people in the downline who drop out should not be dropping out like they are.

Your goal should be to improve the retention rate within your own team and to make your customer service to your downline a priority. It is far more difficult to recruit new people than it is to follow-up and follow-through with those you already have.

Below are seven things you MUST do to increase the chances of keeping your network marketing business with a full and profitable downline.

1. Implement a customer service policy. If you truly want to build a solid and profitable network marketing business, you need to provide service and follow-up to your downline.

2. Follow-up is following-through. You must follow-up with your new downline within one week. Call them within one week of to see if they are using the products and if they have any questions you can answer.

3. Staying in contact shows you care. Building a successful downline for your network marketing business is all about building relationships.

4. Anticipate the needs of your downline. By staying in contact, you can anticipate or stay ahead of your their needs. As someone who is successful yourself you know what they are going to thru and will go through to build their business.

5. Keep records on your downline. Jot down notes on your converstaions for future follow-up.

6. Work closely and be supportive. No one is guaranteed success. However, you will be amazed at how high of a success rate you will have with those you personally sponsor when you work closely with them and are supportive of their efforts.

7. Create intimacy with your downline. Show them you are not just in it to get their money. If you provide value through concern for them as a person and deliver quality customer service in every way possible, you will find your downline will be there for the long term.

In summary make follow-up and customer service with your network marketing mlm downline a priority. This is the key to higher retention and increased income for you and them in the future.

While many people actively involved in MLM’s see the attraction of new prospects as a major point to focus on, taking good care of your downline is also as important as looking for new sign-ups. The good thing about MLM’s is that if either you or your downline gets people signed, you stand to be advantaged under both cases. You most times would even stand to gain more from having your own downline recruit their own downlines as many MLM programs would give you a higher commission when this happens.

Being a good sponsor to your downline is very important and this article teaches you why and how.

A first important thing to note here is that if you have let’s say 10 people as downlines. Instead of looking for anymore prospects, keeping your downline active is bound to give you more prospects than if you do the work of attracting them all by yourself. The math speaks for itself; if one person is able to bring in a new prospect everyday, that’s ten prospects for you per day compared to the one prospect you get if you have a non-functional downline and have to get the prospects yourself.

Being a good sponsor should not be as hard as it may sound to you. It only requires a little knowledge on the right things to do and once you have those in place, you can count yourself very lucky. The MLM industry is quite competitive at the same time boring for start-ups. One way or another, people you get signed will either drop out of the program or not be as actively involved as you’ll want them.

You can always go through free yet useful information on the internet and post this information to your downline. Some of the things you send should include: teaching your downlines on latest leads and informing them on how to take care of their own downlines. Taking care of your downline without teaching how to do the same to their downlines would be an incomplete job on your part.

There are a couple other ways to being a good sponsor but none is at effective and important as keeping your downlines constantly informed. Doing this ensures they know that you have their interest at hear. This boosts the confidence of your downline and makes them gingered enough to go out there and look for more prospects.

That way, you will know what to say to get them to join you in your home business.

There are a couple of things that a lot of people object to when joining a home based business. The first thing is money. They want to know if you’re making money.

Now, what you can say to them is; 1.) You can’t disclose that info because your company won’t allow it. This is true for most home businesses. 2.) It doesn’t matter what you’re making, it doesn’t guarantee that they’ll make a million bucks. 3.) Or jokingly, you can tell them that you make a million bucks a year. And then tell them that you don’t disclose how much you make and that you can understand that they want to know.

Bottom line is…this is your business. You don’t have to get interviewed by the person you are calling. It’s ok to answer a few questions and concerns. But at the end of the day, there are thousands of people out there that want you to help them.

Another thing you can say to help when recruiting leads into your downline is to make sure you can overcome skeptics. There are a lot of people that are skeptical of products, services, and making money in a home business. When overcoming this, just make sure you tell them that there are guarantees in place to help them.

Your products and services should come with a guarantee. If they don’t, you can always add your own. Tell them you will buy the products back if they don’t like it. There are a lot of twists you can add to this to recruit more people into your home business.

These are some tips on recruiting leads into your downline. If you really want to grow your home business, you’re going to have to call the leads that you buy or generate. Either way, each call you make, you will become better and more successful.
