Do You Need Momentum In Your Network Marketing Business?

Today my husband, son, and I went biking. The trail we took led us up and down many hills. My son is 4 years old and there’s absolutely no possible way that he could keep up with us on his training wheels bike. Now, my husband was Trikking, so I had to pull a 35 pound trailer with a 40 pound solid boy! That is right, I had to pull 75 pounds.

As I was lugging this trailer, I thought about giving up, getting off the bike, and walking up the hill. Then, some others passed by and I told myself that there was NO WAY I was going to get off that bike to walk up those steep hills. I had to go slower than the others because of the weight I was pulling, but I made it! Of course coasting down the other side of the hill was also a great reward for my efforts!

This made me think of the life of network marketers. There are so many times that we are on this road of life as a network marketer and there are hills. Some hills are steep in our network marketing business. We are working so hard in our MLM business. We talk to people every day, generate leads, attend trainings and business meetings. Yet, we do not seem to be getting the speed that we want for our business. Just like when I was heading up those steep hills on my bike and pulling my heavy trailer and child, it was very hard work! I wanted to go faster, but I couldn’t get the speed up. This is how our network marketing business can be and it makes us wonder if we should just give up and get a JOB.

It can be discouraging because we see others passing us on this network marketing road of life and they seem to be zooming right along and making great strides. Take a look at your life maybe you are lugging a trailer full of things weighing you down. Some of these things are just life, such as children who need to be driven to and fro, housework, laundry, or even another job that weighs on us. You cannot give up, just keep going even if you are going at a slower rate than those around you. You too will get to the top of that hill in your network marketing business even if it takes a little longer!

Then there is the down hill coast. This is the part of the ride that everyone loves. On a bike ride, its so fun to just coast down that hill and not having to push through those pedals. This is the reward for having worked so hard to get to the top! This works the say way in our MLM or Network Marketing Business. There are always going to be times when you coast right along and reap the fruits of your labor.

Its important to never give up! The reward is too great! Just be consistent with your efforts and you will reap great rewards!
