Affiliate Marketing is based on the percentage that your product merchant gives to you on making a sales. All income are solely based on the product sales.

Multi-Level marketing is based on the downlines you have. It is almost impossible to succeed with just you alone. The income are based on your earnings and your downlines earnings.

In Affiliate marketing one gets an income on generating volume of sales in money terms on selling product[s] and its a linear income depending solely upon individual’s performance every time and for some reason that individual is not able to perform or generate business volume then his income is practically NIL.
In Multilevel marketing one gets an income on generating volume[with the help of his group] of sales in money terms on selling products which a mlm manufactures and this income is permanent even if that individual is unable to perform his share of business for some period of time.
