Since 2018, Jon Henry General Store has been serving the New Market and surrounding Shenandoah Valley. The shop features an array of local, regional, and fair-trade eats, gifts, snacks, toys, and more. The unofficial motto of being an 'Antidote to Ennui' has led it to co-sponsor community game nights, Drive-Thru art exhibits in it's drive-thru, virtual cooking classes, book signings, food truck gatherings, artist lectures, and a Caving Symposium. It is just 1 of 4 stores in the Commonwealth to offer Fresh Match for EBT/SNAP customers, which gives a 50% discount towards all fresh produce purchases.
